Blago is gone. It’s like a little piece of my joy died. I disagree with Wonkette’s comments that he wasn’t funny or terrifying like Palin. I prefer crazy over stupid, myself.
The president’s brother just got busted for what is probably an invented charge of having a joint somewhere in his possession. You may ask in Kenya? Marijuana is illegal in Kenya? Search for ‘Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act, 1994’
It is considered a schedule 1 narcotic there too. I can’t imagine who might have helped to draft their drug laws, because it doesn’t read at all like the United State’s incredibly ridiculous ones. At. All. Michael Phelps was smoking it up as well. The comments for that one are grade A hilarious at News of the World or whatever the fuck that paper is, I can’t believe blogs are insulted so damn much, but things like the Daily Mail are given a pass.
On a side note, speaking of paranoia, Ixquick.com search engine supposedly doesn’t store your IP information or any cookies, so if you’re concerned about your privacy, you might want to switch over. I don’t like their interface design as much as the smoothness of google’s, but it’s working pretty well for me, and the websites pop into a new tab, which is a nice feature.
My next entry is going to be a discussion of marijuana policy in the United States. I will most likely touch on other countries’ policies at a later time, but most of the basic information is equally applicable to all countries.

I’ll take crazy over stupid anytime, but Blago is somehow the poster child for why people hate politicians – and politics as a consequence – so damn much. They’re completely discrediting the democratic process, which really annoys me.
Plus I’m convinced that Blago’s hair is a wig/hair patch, and I can’t stop staring at it, it’s mesmerizing, I just want to grab his head and take the hair off. I don’t know.

“I am very tired of all this,” George Obama said on Sunday, of the media fuss over his family links.
Poor guy. And unlike the other Obama, this one doesn’t get a crowd of Secret Service officers to fend off the worst of it.
It looks like he might not be charged after all – http://www.stuff.co.nz/4835510a12.html – here’s hoping.

i’ve gotta hand it to Phelps for being man enough to acknowledge his actions and apologize — he’s still a decent role model despite the hypocritical media storm
